Early Up is committed to making a difference in our community, and we are proud to have an owner who shares this passion for giving back. Dan, the owner of Early Up, participated in the Fred’s Place Community Sleep Out in Tweed Heads in 2022, where he slept outside to raise money and awareness for homelessness.

Fred’s Place is a local charity that provides a range of services and support to people experiencing homelessness in the Tweed Heads area. The annual Community Sleep Out is one of their major fundraising events, where participants sleep outside overnight to experience a small taste of what it’s like to be homeless and raise money to support Fred’s Place programs.

Dan was one of many participants who braved the chilly night and slept outside on a piece of cardboard, experiencing just a fraction of the discomfort and vulnerability that homeless people face every day. He was joined by a diverse group of individuals, including other business owners, community leaders, and even a few local politicians.

Throughout the night, participants shared stories, experiences, and insights into homelessness and the challenges faced by people who are without a safe and secure place to call home. It was a humbling and eye-opening experience for Dan, who was struck by the resilience and strength of the individuals who endure these conditions daily.

By participating in the Fred’s Place Community Sleep Out, Dan helped to raise awareness of homelessness and the need for ongoing support and resources to assist those in need. He also raised money to support Fred’s Place programs, which provide a range of essential services, including emergency accommodation, meals, showers, and laundry facilities.

At Early Up, we believe that it is our responsibility to give back to our community and support those in need. Dan’s participation in the Fred’s Place Community Sleep Out is just one example of our commitment to community involvement and our dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.

We are proud to have an owner who leads by example and is willing to go above and beyond to support our local community. We hope that Dan’s involvement in this event will inspire others to get involved and make a difference in their own way.
